Are little things holding you back from your dream job or from success in your network marketing business? What are you going to do about it?
It Could Be That Little Things Are Holding You Back From Your Potential
Imagine that you are in a job or position where you are just not happy. You are dissatisfied, and you are wishing that you were somewhere else. Now, for some of you, you don’t have to try very hard to imagine that. Because that IS your reality!
Your job is just not doing it for you anymore!
Often times when we start our working career, we take the first job that we can get. It may not be our dream job, but it was offered to us, and we accepted it. The years go by, and we find that we are at our job for a lot longer than we expected. We feel stuck.
Or we hop from one job to another, always hoping for something better. Better pay, better hours, or better working conditions. We hope that each change is for the better. But, the reality is, that we are not a lot closer to our dream, even after a number of job hops.
For whatever reason, the job is just not doing it for you anymore. You want to do something different.
Some of you have no idea what you might like to do. You haven’t even thought ahead that far. No dreams nor plans are already floating about in your mind.
Others of you DO have something in mind that you would rather be doing. “I would really rather be doing THIS instead of what I am doing!” But you are stuck in your job, and you can’t see how you can get to where you would rather be. The little things holding you back will keep you stuck.
What ARE The Little Things Holding You Back?
There is something that is holding you back! What keeps you from going ahead and finding something else? Something that you want? Something that is closer to your goals?
Are you thinking “I want to do THIS, but in order to do THIS…..I’m going to have to do THIS!”
For example, maybe you want to be a nurse. But in order to be a nurse, you need to have some training to be a nurse. “I want to be a nurse, but I don’t have the money to get the training I need to be a nurse. And even if I did, I don’t have the time to get the training to be a nurse.” These thoughts are holding you back from getting what you want. Little things holding you back!
Many people in the work force are in similar positions. They know they don’t want to continue in their current position, but they don’t know how they can escape from where they are. Perhaps they may know where they want to be, but don’t know how to get there from where they are at.
Perhaps you once did actually want the job that you are in. But conditions change! The job changes, the responsibilities change, the working conditions change. For whatever reason, the job is not doing it for you any more.
Overcome The Little Things Holding You Back!
There could be any number of stumbling blocks that can keep you from getting to where you want to be. The location of your desired position may be holding you back. You might have to move to get that position.
You need to know this: the belief that you are stuck and can’t get to your desired position is a faulty mindset. In this land that we live in, we have freedom. It may take some work, it may involve consequences; but you don’t have to stay where you are at. You can do the things you need to do to get where you want to be. Overcome the little things holding you back.
For example, if you want to be a nurse, but you don’t have the time or the money for the training, there is always SOMETHING you can do to move you a little closer to your goal.
Take the first step even if you can’t see beyond that first step. After you take that first simple step, there will probably be additional steps that will suddenly be visible. Take those additional steps, and more will open up. You will begin to move forward!
If you want to be a nurse, find some cheap first aid classes from the Red Cross that you can take. Just take the first step toward your goal. If you can’t accomplish the whole goal all at once, take the first steps. That will ensure that you are at least making some progress, AND it will help take away that feeling of helplessness.
Because if you don’t do ANYTHING…..five, ten, fifteen years from now…..you will be in the same position that you are in now. Still feeling helpless and miserable!
Network Marketers and Little Things Holding You Back
As a network marketer, you want to get better at your profession. You are thinking that you would really like to have a big organization. But you are afraid to talk to people. That fear is one of the things holding you back.
What are you going to do about it? Can you make a first step? Can you get some training on how to do a Facebook Live? If that scares you, make a video that only you see. Get more comfortable with seeing yourself on the screen. Then slowly enlarge your audience.
If you are afraid of talking to people, take the first step. Just say “Hi” to people. Then start taking the steps after that.
Don’t let your fears keep you from taking that first step. Otherwise, ten, fifteen years from now, you will still be in the same place feeling like you are stuck. Feeling helpless. Is that really where you want to be?
Take the first step. Develop one skill at a time. Begin moving toward your goal, no matter what it is. Break your goal down into little steps. Begin to take those little steps. You don’t have to perform those little steps perfectly. You just have to begin!
Maybe you want to do a blog, but don’t know how. You can take one step at a time and learn how to make a blog. It doesn’t have to be good at first, just begin! Start taking the first steps and move forward.
